IMPORTANT information to know in case of an emergency!!

Well this post is going to be short and to the point! I’ve had to write a few letters tonight and somehow it’s 1am and I’m not yet in bed yet and I’m working all day tomorrow. Cranky Traci will emerge! Watch out!

I’m writing this brief post because well, today’s Blog Dare Challenge topic did not apply to me so I couldn’t have followed it anyway!

THIS MESSAGE IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR EVERYONE. ANYONE WITH KIDS IN THE HOME OR THAT IS EVER AROUND CHILDREN. OR EVEN ELDERLY PEOPLE.  SOMETHING WE’VE ALL NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT IN RELATION TO CELL PHONES.

This past week a dear friend of mine had a horrific experience I keep finding it traumatic and I wasn’t even there. She had an emergency in her sons bedroom while he was finishing up in the bathroom after bath time, something we ALL do daily.

iphonesShe passed out and hit her head on a table on the way down, requiring more staples in her head than I can even remember her telling me.  Her 5-year-old little boy found her on the floor, passed out, unable to be aroused and in a pool of blood, and AMAZINGLY knew immediately to call 911 (YAY for him knowing that!!).

Except one HUGE problem. The phone he had to use was a cell phone and there was a lock on it. I don’t have mine locked mainly because I can never come up with a 4 digit code that I know I will remember!! But almost EVERYONE ELSE I KNOW and see has a code locking their cell phone keeping anyone else from using it. (Mainly your kids I’m sure!)

Unlock it. Unlock it. Unlock it.

So what if you butt dial someone? Who cares if your kid hits buttons, don’t let them have it anymore!  Whatever your reason is for locking it, UNLOCK it!

You can save a life.

Thank god my friend will be okay, although her life is changed forever and her little boy seems to be okay as well, but I’m sure it’ll be a long time before either of them will be past that, I’m traumatized for him, and i’m 33 years older.

UNLOCK YOUR CELL PHONE. NOTHING is that important to keep private when it could save yours or someone else’s life.
