Since May 20th my life feels like its been a whirlwind. The bad, the more bad, the getting better and now the happy. I’m not ready to share details or the how or why, but just leave it at this…….sometimes, just as it feels like it can’t get worse and you couldn’t cry anymore, life has a funny way of showing you, you CAN. And it also shows you how you can find out who it is you can count on and how blessed and lucky you REALLY are.
- It’s suddenly getting harder to remember her like this. Harder to remember the newborn bliss. Harder to summon that infant smell I was so used to sniffing. She’s slowly but surely growing up right before our very eyes. And it’s beautiful and it’s heartbreaking all at once. Motherhood is a trip. #sloaneleah #sloanerewind #myunicornbaby #thoughtsaboutmotherhood #momlifenailed it! ❤️Today marks three full weeks Sloane and I have been in the house. Our last outing was the Purim Carnival on Sunday, March 8th. I can’t decide if I’m getting accustomed to this lifestyle or it’s getting a little easier since we have now been through most of everything that happens while sequestered together in an apartment! . I continue to be grateful that we are in a fortunate position right now.....things could be much worse than they are. So in an effort to #staypositive and #spreadsomejoy we/I with Sloane’s help, #chalkyourwalk!! 💜 #stayhome #stayathome #march2020 #quarantineDay 15 for Sloane and I. . We needed to get out of our apartment today, badly. . So we bundled up, yes the Dinosaur costume was the only weather appropriate thing she wanted to wear. And while we have rules, I am at a point where I’m trying to pick my “no’s”. She still needs discipline but she doesn’t understand WTF is going on. . So my baby dinosaur and I went and #chalkyourwalk, picked up some necessities at the @target Drive Up, and came back home. It was a glorious hour out of the house. . And then the sun came out just around 5pm so Sloanie and her daddy took a long walk in our neighborhood with her baby in her stroller while I did a Zoom call with my religious school students. #stayhome #stayathome #stayhome2020 #socialdistancing #quaratinelifeI wish i knew who to credit with this properly. I am reposting it because I couldn’t agree with it more. We are ALL in this together. ❤️ #stayhome #stayhome2020#StayHome Activity of the day...... For the little littles, give them a bag (the bigger the bag the longer it will take them 😉) and tell them to go collect ALL THE THINGS they can find that are a certain COLOR. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 . . When they are done, if you are busy with something, set a timer AND STICK TO IT, to try and help them be patient that you have to do whatever it is you’re in the middle of and will get to them as soon as you can. Plus it’s a positive way to use the timer and it helps you remember to get back to them! (THIS is a rough one at our house now. Both of us are working on it today.) . . Then take the time to go over each and every item with them and tell them what a great job they did, and that you want to play again but they have to empty the bag up to get their next color assignment. *TRY* and get them to clean up and put things back themselves. If not, grab another bag and give them another color. . . PICK YOUR BATTLES right now!!!! It’s all about survival! . . **To make the game a little bit more advanced, same as above but give them A LETTER and have them go find all the things that start with that letter!** #stayhome #stayhome2020 #stayhomesurvivaltipsbytraci #letterbagals #colorbags #toddleractivities #survivethistogether
